Purpose & Scope

Achieve regional sales goals by promoting Skyland Analytics products and services to targets within the life sciences industry. Educate customers on the use, features and advantages of Skyland PIMS ™ software compared to work processes that are manual, paper-based and involve spreadsheets. Professionally represent Skyland Analytics in the field and ensure high levels of visibility and customer satisfaction in region. Maintain effective communication and relationships with key external customers whilst generating the highest levels of integrity and credibility.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively promote and educate targeted accounts on the use of Skyland Analytics products through one-on-one meetings and group presentations, company-approved industry conferences, etc.
  • Work 4-5 days in the field each week, supported by office time as needed for call planning, customer follow-up, preparing presentations, making appointments, report generation, etc.
  • Ensure solid performance levels of call and field productivity. Achieve regional product sales goals while adhering to all APUS-defined ethical sales practices, Compliance guidelines, and required promotional regulations
  • Execute company-approved Product Marketing plans and territory/regional business plan activities
  • Support targeted customers using company-approved resources, sales materials, and promotional activities/programs/initiatives as identified by Sales Management
  • Coordinate promotional efforts with peers across departments and co-promotion alliance partners. This includes appropriately managing/maintaining all company equipment and company-approved promotional materials (e.g., sales materials, company literature, etc.) according to defined company Compliance guidelines
  • Achieve regional product sales goals while adhering to all APUS-defined ethical sales practices, Compliance guidelines, and required promotional regulations
  • Ensure regional sales strategy execution using annual regional business plan and call activity reports
  • Accurately report/submit sales call activities, territory expenses and written reports and within deadline as defined by Sales Management
  • Attend all company-sponsored sales and internal meetings as directed by company management
  • Lead the planning and execution of regional sales events with the support of Sales Management
  • Lead the execution and assist in the development of the regional go-to-market plan for the UK and Europe with the support of Sales Management
  • Additional duties as needed

Organizational Context

This position:

  • Is customer facing sales role with an additional, evolving operational dimension subject to sales growth
  • Reports to VP Sales
  • Grows, develops and maintains region responsible for managing Skyland Analytics’ software products
  • Partners with pre-sales / application either developed in the region or previously globally defined and approved by Sales Management

Qualifications Required

  • BS degree
  • Proven track record of consistent, superior sales performance against challenging targets in the life sciences industry
  • 15+ experience in consultative, enterprise sales
  • Solid communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proactive, can-do approach, superior problem-solving ability
  • Excellent motivational and persuasion skills
  • Team orientation
  • Ability to travel up to 50%+ with some overnight travel
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing

Preferred

  • Degree in Biology, Pharmacology or Medical related
  • MBA or similar business qualification
  • Language fluency in English, German and French
  • Strong sales management track record
  • Experience focus in R&D, process development and manufacturing within the biopharma products/industry
  • Prior demonstrated achievement of sales performance
