Senior Rails Developer: Niwot, Colorado
Skyland Analytics is seeking an experienced web application developer to work on our growing suite of Ruby on Rails products for the pharmaceutical industry. We require for high-quality work, a commitment to doing what is best for our customers and a friendly, collegial attitude. Required:
- Extensive experience writing web applications in Ruby on Rails
- Proven track record of delivering quality web development features on time and on budget
- Excellent knowledge of algorithms, object-oriented programming and general programming skills
- Excellent knowledge of relational database design and SQL
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS
- Excellent knowledge of the web and HTTP
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well in teams
Preferred:
- Experience deploying web applications to Amazon’s AWS services
- Proficiency in JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL
- Advanced math and statistics knowledge
- Experience working within a regulated industry

Details: This position calls for full-time employment at our offices in Niwot, Colorado. You must be able to legally work in the United States (sorry, but we are not able to sponsor work visas).
You must be able to effectively communicate with our management and other employees; and have the ability and desire to learn challenging new skills. You must also be willing to adapt to new ways of approaching web development based on current usability research.
