Summary

As VP of Product Marketing you will be responsible for positioning and marketing our enterprise cloud-based software by supporting our sales teams with effective marketing materials and orchestrating content for high impact digital and physical events. You will deliver product webinars and presentations, develop content for marketing campaigns, and more. Skyland is a small but smart team; managing multiple projects and having continuous communication will be key to your success.

Essential Functions

  • Create marketing and sales collateral, such as whitepapers, datasheets, executive presentations, web content, product video scripts and more
  • Familiarity with the pharma industry’s software offerings is a must
  • Launch software into secondary market: chemical
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new products and features, including product positioning
  • Support marketing events with content curation, and customer outreach
  • Be scrappy, self-directed and able to move forward in a dynamic environment where processes and procedures may not always be completely documented
  • Work with every team in the organization on launch content, including everything from product decks to product screenshots, sales materials, blog content, landing pages and website content
  • Lead PR efforts and brand partnerships
  • Stay current on trends in the Life Science, chemical and overall process manufacturing software space
  • Develop and maintain deep product and competitive knowledge

Key Skills

  • Collaborative skills: You will have to work with many teams across the organization. This will include the sales and the engineering department, product management and executives. New product releases are inherently ‘cross functional’ and entail coordinating the work of many different people.
  • Communication skills: Both speaking and writing abilities will be tapped in this role. You will frequently be asked to present about new products and write engaging copy, telling the story of products, for various marketing channels such as corporate events and webinars.
  • Research skills: A crucial part of being a product marketing manager is gaining insight into customer needs and experiences, market and competitive analysis. Analysis of data will be part of this mix and you need to be well acquainted with these techniques.

Desired Experience

  • At least 5-8 years of experience in B2B software marketing, preferably cloud AWS
  • Services industry experience desired
  • Exceptional analytic ability paired with communication skills that distill insights into action
  • A track record of effectively prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously to drive them to completion
  • Problem solver who can creatively influence cross-functionally and at all management levels to deliver on business goals
  • Proven experience in effectively planning, delivering, and measuring marketing campaigns
  • BA/BS (preferably in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field); MBA preferred

This position primarily involves providing Project Management for implementation of Discoverant software into manufacturing facilities. Skyland is looking for a candidate with 5+ years of project management experience in validated environments. Candidates should be experienced with MS Project. PMP certification and experience with Discoverant implementations a plus.

Seeking an experienced web application developer to work on our growing suite of Ruby on Rails products for the pharmaceutical industry.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience writing web applications in Ruby on Rails
  • Proven track record of delivering quality web development features on time and on budget
  • Excellent knowledge of algorithms, object-oriented programming and general programming skills
  • Excellent knowledge of relational database design and SQL
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS
  • Excellent knowledge of the web and HTTP
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in teams

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience deploying web applications to Amazon’s AWS services
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
